Position Description

Cardiothoracic First Assist PA in Louisiana - Near New Orleans

Flexible blocks or ongoing CTS coverage with vein harvesting and transplant exposure.


Highlights

  • Open-ended need; work full-time or in short blocks
  • 1 in 3 call rotation including weekends
  • Work alongside 5 cardiothoracic surgeons
  • Vein harvesting required


Practice Setting

  • OR and inpatient only; no clinic responsibilities
  • High-acuity CTS with transplant cases
  • Epic EMR
  • Strong OR and hospital support staff


Schedule

  • Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
  • 1:3 call rotation, including weekends
  • Ongoing or PRN schedules welcome


Cases and Procedures

  • Full-scope cardiothoracic and vascular surgery
  • Transplant exposure included
  • Vein harvesting is mandatory


Requirements

  • Experienced PA in cardiothoracic surgery
  • Active Louisiana license
  • BLS, ACLS, and DEA required


Travel Accommodations

  • Local and regional candidates preferred
  • Travel not reimbursed separately
