General Medicine Provider - Compensation & Pension Examinations

Job Details:
• Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans • Current openings available in Fort Polk, LA (2 days per week needed within 20-mile radius) • Option to work from provider's own office location (required) • PRN basis, ongoing opportunity • Flexible scheduling with half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts available • Conduct one-time, non-treatment CP exams and separation health assessments • Primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessment (range of motion testing, muscle strength testing) • No prescribing or treatment responsibilities • Quick credentialing and onboarding process • Accepting providers with backgrounds in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, general medicine, or experience with compensation and pension • Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions • Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products) • Requires active and unrestricted full license and AANP certification • Must complete DMA training to become DMA certified • Cannot be active military duty, in the reserves, or actively employed at the VA • Local candidates only (travel included in rates) • Regular administrative follow-up work required (addendums, medical opinions, reading diagnostics)

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.

Estimated Hourly Rate: $85 - $100
